TikTok entertained us during the pandemic, but the vaunted app also may have put power in the palms of one world’s most exploited labor groups — migrant domestic workers. The Fuller Project’s Louise Donovan explores what happens when domestic workers start going viral on the popular social media platform.

Indigenous Peoples are among the first to face the direct consequences of climate change due to their close ties to the environment.
So why do climate justice policies often ignore or forget their vital voices?
To mark International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples (celebrated on August 9), here’s Yasso Bhattachan of the National Indigenous Women’s Forum.
She’s dedicated her career to getting legal recognition for the rights of Nepal’s Indigenous women and girls, and explains why it’s vital they’re included in the fight against the climate crisis.

Artificial intelligence has created billionaires at a speed the tech world has never seen, according to news this week.
Yet while the #AI gold rush helps some people get rich, we’ve long known that women hold more of the jobs expected to be disrupted by automation.
Where does that leave women workers? And what can we do about it?
Kimalee Phillip, from the Canadian Union of Public Employees, gives us her thoughts.

In her past jobs as foreign minister in her native country or as the 73rd president of the United Nations General Assembly, Ecuadorian diplomat María Fernanda Espinosa probably saw it all. What she hasn’t seen? Enough women at the top of global financial institutions.
From central, regional, or finance banks right through to some of the most powerful organizations like the World Bank, Espinosa, who is now executive director of GWL Voices, calls out the lack of representation.
But this is not just about the optics, she says, or even just about having a seat at the table. It’s about changing the rules of the game. Giving women the opportunity to rebuild the table.
She spoke to The Fuller Project at the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development in Sevilla.

There are concerted efforts in the U.S. and across the world to attack gender rights, ban expression, and erase all the things that feminists have been fighting for.
Along with devastating conflicts everywhere from Sudan to Gaza, it can be difficult to feel hopeful. But Fadekemi Akinfaderin from @FosFeminista says it is possible.
Here she is back in March at the UN’s annual event on women’s rights, talking about why visibility is vital.
