What does the rise of far-right political parties across Europe mean for women’s rights? Lucie Daniel, who works for French feminist organization Equipop, tells Fuller’s editor-in-chief, Eliza Anyangwe, that far-right political leaders, along with conservative religious groups, are working together to advance an “anti-rights, anti-immigration and anti-democratic agenda”.
And it may be hard to spot at first because they use the language of human rights: talking about “protection” and “freedom”.
So, what can citizens do about it?! Daniel is speaking to Europeans but the lessons applicable around the world:
❗️Support feminist movements
❗️Rally together
❗️Resist the backlash
